Freedom Virginia Announces Second Round of 2023 Candidate Endorsements

Advocacy Organization Backs Candidates who are Champions for Hardworking Virginians and Economic Freedom

RICHMOND, Va. — Freedom Virginia, a 501(c)4 organization committed to building a Commonwealth where all Virginia families have the freedom to thrive, today announced their second round of endorsements for the 2023 state legislative races. Freedom Virginia is excited to be endorsing both new and experienced leaders who prioritize affordability. All of these leaders have agreed to support a Prescription Drug Affordability Board, as well as other affordability priorities, in the upcoming 2024 session.

These endorsements follow a successful primary endorsement process and are in addition to general endorsements made earlier this year. Freedom Virginia will be one of the largest contributors of the 2023 general election having committed upwards of a million dollars to elect Affordability Champions across the state.

Rhena Hicks, executive director of Freedom Virginia released the following statement:
“Our endorsed candidates represent some of the strongest leaders and affordability advocates in Virginia. They have proven throughout their campaigns and their careers that they prioritize the values of Freedom Virginia including affordable prescription drugs, lower energy costs, strong public education, and accessible childcare. Each of them have exemplified the importance of community leadership and the positive impact it can have. We look forward to supporting these individuals and their campaigns by connecting with voters and working with them to promote affordability in the future.”
