Ahead of Nov. 4 Election, Freedom Virginia Announces More Key Endorsements in House of Delegates Race

RICHMOND, Va. — Today, Freedom Virginia announced three more endorsements in battleground House of Delegates districts. The announcement comes at a crucial moment when Virginians are facing the fallout from the federal government shutdown, just a month ahead of the November 4 election, and need candidates who will prioritize affordability for regular people, not more giveaways to the wealthy and corporations.

Freedom Virginia is endorsing the following candidates for the November 4 election:

  • Stacey Carroll (HD-64)

  • Mark Downey (HD-69)

  • Virgil Thornton (HD-86)

Freedom Virginia co-Executive Directors Rhena Hicks and Ryan O’Toole released the following statement:

“We’re excited to add these outstanding candidates to our list of endorsees for the upcoming November 4th election. There has been growing momentum around their races, and we believe in their abilities to cross the finish line in November and fight for affordability and economic prosperity in the General Assembly. Virginia has been facing many challenges since January, and the current government shutdown has only added to the weight that so many families are feeling. We need candidates who are committed to helping hardworking people get ahead and who will ensure all Virginians can thrive in a fair and affordable economy. We believe these three exemplify the work Freedom Virginia does, and we’re excited to see them elected and continue working with them in the General Assembly.”
